FUTURE TECHNOLOGIES
New sources of electrical energy are currently getting a lot of press and discussion both inside the industry and among the public. SDCEA is monitoring several pilot projects within the state and region to see how the latest technologies perform. Currently, fuel cells and micro-turbines are being tested and evaluated in field applications. SDCEA will be able to review the results and can determine their effectiveness for our member's needs. Our philosophy is to keep up-to-date on new technologies, and review and monitor their performance to determine if they would be a beneficial application for our members. We will continue to update our members as information becomes available on these and other new technologies.
