NEW MEMBER/EXISTING SERVICE
If you have never received service from SDCEA and are moving into a house that already has service, contact the Buena Vista office to have the service put into your name. Most services can be transferred to your name over the phone and followed up with the completion and return of the application for service that will be mailed to you. When calling, you will need to have the service address or previous tenant's name so we can transfer the correct account. A minimum security deposit of $250 is required. Each time an account changes names, the new account will be charged a non-refundable $25.00 Service Charge. This charge covers the expense of installing a new meter or reading an existing meter, and establishing the new account on our billing records. The Service Charge will appear on the first month's bill.
