Annual Meeting Recap

Sangre de Cristo Electric Association (SDCEA) held its 81st Annual Meeting on June 9 at Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort in Nathrop. Consumer representatives Dan C. Daly and Charles A. Abel II ran unopposed and were re-elected to three-year terms each on the SDCEA Board of Directors. The annual report of business at the close of 2020 was presented to those in attendance. A question and answer session followed the business meeting, and covered questions about renewable energy, SDCEA’s wildfire mitigation rider, electric rates, and other topics.
- Personnel from SDCEA’s Operations Department were also on hand for the gathering.
- Tri-State Generation and Transmission CEO Duane Highley addressed questions from the audience.
- Hannah Volpe, SDCEA scholarship award recipient and daughter of board member David A. Volpe, sang the National Anthem.
- SDCEA members asked questions about the cooperative.
