Director-at-Large, representing all of our nearly 13,000 members.

Hometown?
I grew up in the rain forest on the coast of Washington state and now live in northern Chaffee County, the banana belt of Colorado’s mountains.

How long have you been a board member at Sangre de Cristo Electric?
Nearly three years.

What rewarding experience(s) have you had as a board member so far?
Presenting college scholarships to high school students and working to get the Trout Creek solar project completed.

If you were driving down the road, what song would you turn up if it came on the radio?
Anything by Marshall Tucker Band.

Name a skill you have, unrelated to board work.
My four grandsons say, “Grandad can fix anything!”

Please share a fun fact about yourself.
I spent 40 years on a wrestling mat: 10 as a wrestler, 10 as a coach, and 20 as a referee.

What do you do outside of board work for fun?
Most anything outdoors: hunting, fishing, backpacking, biking, hiking, etc.

Anything else you’d like to add?
I am a strong believer in the co-op business model and feel very lucky to be a part of Sangre de Cristo Electric.
