Engineering Fee Acknowledgement
Once this information is reviewed, an SDCEA representative will contact you, confirm details and provide initial information about your project.
If you elect to begin your project, you will receive instructions about how to pay an engineering fee.
SDCEA requires a $500 non-refundable Engineering Fee be paid before a site visit can be scheduled with our Staking Technician.
Applicant or applicant's representative must be present for the site visit. Once a site visit has been scheduled, the applicant must provide notice of cancellation at least one (1) full business day in advance of the scheduled site visit. If the applicant or applicant’s representative is not present for the site visit, an additional rescheduling fee will be assessed and will not be credited toward the cost of the project and is not refundable.
Should there be no activity on your work order for six months, then the engineering fee will be forfeited, the work order will be cancelled and any desire to continue at a later date will then need to be started entirely from the beginning. This will require another $500 to restart the application.
If the applicant requests changes to SDCEA's design after the design is finalized by SDCEA, the engineering fee will be forfeited and an additional $500 redesign fee will be collected before any changes will be made.
