Crites Appointed to TFACC

SDCEA Accounting Lead Sarah Crites was recently honored with an appointment to serve on an advisory group that plans the national Tax, Finance & Accounting Conference for Electric Cooperatives (TFACC). The TFACC is the premiere national conference for electric cooperative tax, finance and accounting professionals, and will be held in Portland, Oregon, in August 2020.

The primary role of the TFACC advisory group is to serve as subject matter experts and advise the program manager on the training and education needs of electric co-op accounting, finance and tax professionals. Demographically, appointees represent both cooperatives from around the country, as well as associate members.

Crites will be asked to assist with conference content development, serve as an ambassador for and at the event, work onsite, collect feedback from attendees, act as facilitator for roundtable discussions, and other duties as required. She is expected to serve a minimum three-year term with the group, with the option of being reinstated for a second term.
